What should I expect?

  • Anticipate fellowship, food, and conversation!
  • We definitely believe in being interactive so expect to have fun!
  • Also included are laughs and occasional tears.

What do you talk about at these gatherings?

The short answer is, come and see! 😁

However if you prefer a longer response, the conversations will always lead back to encouragement to pursue your life and walk in your purpose.  Examples of previous events are included below.

  • Operation Christmas Child
    • We host an annual packing party to prepare shoe boxes for children across the world through Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan's Purse.
  • #ICUShining
    • A painting party was hosted in August 2017 with a focus on Matthew 5:14, "You are light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden."  Everyone created paintings that reflected this passage and we discussed what it means for us to shine and be light in the world. (pictured)
  • She's Still There Event
    • A group outing in March of 2019. This event was hosted by Chrystal Evans Hurst in partnership with Compassion Live. The event mirrored the title of Chrystal's book, She's Still There which focuses on women recognizing and rescuing the girls in us.
Who can attend?

  • Women and girls
    • In some cases, gatherings may be best suited for teens and/or adults. Should that be the case, we'll make sure that's communicated to you via email.
  • Believers and unbelievers
    • Conversations will be biblically sound but being a Christian is not a pre-requisite. You're invited!
  • Gatherings typically consist of about 10-20 ladies

When and where are the gatherings hosted?

  • Every 2-4 months, typically in Gwinnett County or surrounding areas of metro Atlanta.

Who do I contact if I'm interested in attending or have questions?

In 2010, I launched my former online radio show, The Lighthouse. What initially began as a desire to have inspiring conversations that correlated with my academic studies in journalism sparked my interests in creating a virtual small group ministry!

While still hosting the show, in 2012, the Intensive Care Unit was birthed. In 2015, the ministry was relaunched with face-to-face group gatherings, known as Lighthouse Gatherings.

Today, both visions have seemingly folded into one and remain active in my heart.  Every gathering is always so special to me. I absolutely believe God doesn't just create us to do only one thing in this world.

In addition to my love and gift of music, I've discovered I'm a people gatherer too and I love that ladies choose to connect alongside me in this vision.  Not only do I get to see others come alive, but I'm seeing myself come alive in my purpose too!

My desire is that every woman who links arms with us will feel welcomed and loved--even if she only attends one gathering! It's my prayer that she'll leave from our time together with excitement and determination to live her best life now!

Officially,
Lena 💛
